TikTok rates by follower tier

What TikTok creators typically charge for one sponsored video. Rates per follower run below Instagram's, and that is not a discount — TikTok distributes by interest rather than by following, so follower count describes an account's audience less accurately than it does elsewhere. Figures are this page's model at a 2.5% engagement rate.

Rate drivers

What changes a TikTok rate

TikTok prices differently from the feed platforms, because reach is decided by the algorithm rather than by the follower list. These are the terms that matter.

Views over followers
A TikTok account with 40,000 followers can routinely out-reach one with 400,000, because distribution is interest-based. Experienced buyers price against median views over the last ten to twenty videos rather than follower count, and treat any single viral outlier as noise.
Spark Ads authorisation
A Spark Ad runs paid spend through the creator's original post, keeping the comments, likes and handle intact. It performs better than an equivalent in-feed ad and creators price the authorisation code separately — expect roughly 50% on top of the organic rate, set by the length of the authorisation window.
Sound and trend timing
A brief tied to a trending sound has a shelf life measured in days. Creators charge for that urgency, because it means dropping their own content plan. If your campaign does not depend on a specific trend, saying so is worth real money at the negotiation.
Series commitments
TikTok audiences respond to repetition more than to single placements, so a three-to-five video series usually outperforms one video at the same total spend. It is also where the per-video rate drops fastest, commonly 25–30% below one-off pricing.
Duet and stitch rights
Letting other accounts duet or stitch a sponsored video multiplies its reach for free, and closing it off protects the creative. Neither is the default — decide which you want and write it into the brief, because creators price the restriction, not the permission.
Comment moderation
TikTok comment sections are livelier and less forgiving than Instagram's. Some creators include moderation for the first 48 hours; others explicitly do not. For a brand in a sensitive category this is worth more than a small discount on the rate.

Common questions

TikTok pricing — answered

Around $10 per 1,000 followers as a starting point, so roughly $500 for a 50,000-follower account and $5,000 at 500,000 — before engagement scaling. Because TikTok reach is only loosely tied to followers, check the creator's median view count before accepting a follower-based quote in either direction.
